Spring Studio – San Francisco, CA

Spring Studio is looking for a Senior UX Researcher with domain knowledge in financial services and investing. As part of the Spring team, you'll develop research plans and methodologies, and conduct a variety of types of research:

  • Generative research to uncover attitudes, behaviors, and needs (using methods such as ethnographic observation, in-depth interviews, group interviews and diaries)
  • Participatory design research to evaluate and iterate concepts and solution approaches (using methods such as prototype or scenario testing and co-designing
  • Usability research to test solutions.

You’ll also help create personas, journey maps and other deliverables related to Spring’s research and UX offerings. Knowledge of statistics, statistical analysis, and experience designing and executing quantitative studies a plus.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in UX research and experience with UX design. We are also looking for strong written and verbal communication skills, plus a passion for infusing design solutions with insights drawn from users.

The ideal candidate will have 5-plus years’ experience in UX research. S/he will have planned and conducted studies on a broad range of business problems, in close collaboration with designers, product owners and other stakeholders. Knowledge of financial services and investing is critical. Background in a related user research field (human-computer interaction, anthropology/ethnography, cognitive or social psychology, or related discipline), or equivalent experience, is a strong plus. Fluency and/or working knowledge of Spanish a plus.

Spring Studio – San Francisco, CA

As a Lead UX Designer you will help define and build applications, products, and services, while leading and mentoring other UX Designers. You will be responsible for developing best-in-class, innovative user experiences (user interface designs, interaction models, prototypes, etc.) balancing strategic thinking and planning with “lean” concept and design ideation.

You will work closely with global business partners, product management, development, and multiple country stakeholders to successfully go from early stage product concepts to global design frameworks and plans to individual country launches.

You must be a visionary that can translate what may be ambiguous business needs into awesome customer-focused solutions. The ideal candidate for this position will be at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract and then be able to drive that vision into solid design deliverables.

Spring Studio – San Francisco, CA

Spring Studio is seeking a Creative Lead (Senior Art Director equivalent) who is a visual designer at heart, but has a passion for user-experience design. Candidates must have an understanding of all aspects of interactive design (typography, color theory, composition, etc.) as well as interest in mobile and application design. Creative Leads will collaborate extensively with User Experience Designers and be expected to contribute to initial UX concepts as well as execute the final visual design needs. The Creative Lead will report to the Creative Director.

In addition to being an excellent, hands-on designer, Creative Leads must possess strong leadership and communication skills. You must be comfortable presenting your ideas directly to clients. You must able to inspire and mentor team members in areas of design, as well as being willing to engage in production (visual, copy, interaction design, production). You must be self-motivated with a positive attitude and have strong communications skills. Overall, you should be a creative thinker who embraces visual design challenges as well as new methods of thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Concept, design, and execute creative, user-experience focused design initiatives across a variety of client engagements
  • Present and sell design concepts to ensure implementation of design standards
  • Collaborate and/or manage a team of Designers, and/or Junior Designers on multiple engagements

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 5+ years of interactive/design experience
  • Expert Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator is required, Sketch, InDesign & After Effects are a plus
  • An understanding of HTML, CSS and the capabilities of web browsers are essential
  • Strong background of leading client engagements in an agency background
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences ranging from high level stakeholders, business analysts, and technologists responsible for implementing your designs
